WALKS
You can enjoy walks on the valley ground and in the mountains and even climbing up to different elevations. You can choose a route to suit your taste, which will lead you to viewpoints where you can soak up the views of the gorgeous landscape.
In the surroundings there are 240 kilometres of hiking trails of any difficulty level, which lead you to mountain inns where you are served homemade products… You can also climb to the summit of Sonntagshorn, the highest peak of the region with a height of 1961 metres. All this may put you in the mood to enjoy some physical activity.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
In the local area around the resort of Ruhpolding you can enjoy both mountain bike rides and leisurely bicycle tours. Mountain bikers can climb to wonderful sun terraces across Alpine pastures, whereas families can explore the countryside pedalling on level trails on the valley ground.

SWIMMING POOLS AND MOUNTAIN LAKES
The “Vita Alpina” leisure centre includes an extensive outdoor swimming pool. A sports and diving pool, a large shallow pool for non-swimmers with a slide and a paddling pool for toddlers provide marvellous refreshment and great fun. The leisure centre is only a two minutes’ walk away from HELDs Vitalhotel.
Within a few minutes’ drive from the village centre of Ruhpolding you find the mountain lakes “Lödensee”, “Mittersee” and “Weitsee”.
A bicycle tour is an ideal way to get to the three lakes.
GOLF
The 18-hole golf course in Ruhpolding with its natural biotopes and its water hazards is surrounded by a fascinating mountain panorama.
The views of the surrounding meadows, woodlands and the mountains of the “Chiemgau Alps” make a golf round an amazing experience.
